Last updated: May 2026
BWICK Wallet ("we," "our," or "us") is a self-custodial cryptocurrency wallet. This privacy policy explains how data is handled when you use the extension.
1. Data We Store Locally
BWICK Wallet stores the following data only on your device:
- Encrypted keystore — Your wallet private keys and seed phrase are encrypted and stored locally in your browser storage. We do not transmit this data to our servers.
- Wallet addresses — Public addresses derived from your keys, stored locally for display and wallet operations.
- User preferences — Settings such as selected network-related preferences and interface choices stored in browser extension storage.
2. Data We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect, store, or transmit your seed phrase or private keys to any remote service controlled by us.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
- We do not track general browsing activity unrelated to wallet connection and signing flows you approve.
3. External Communications
When you use BWICK Wallet, it communicates directly with third-party infrastructure required for wallet functionality:
- BWICK Cosmos chain nodes — For balance queries, transaction submission, and chain state through REST and RPC endpoints.
- Solana blockchain nodes — For Solana balance lookups and transaction-related operations.
- External CDNs — For certain fonts, images, and interface assets used by the extension.
These communications are necessary for the wallet to function. Those third-party services may process technical metadata such as your IP address under their own privacy terms.
4. Content Scripts and dApp Interactions
BWICK Wallet uses content scripts to enable connection and signing with decentralized applications (dApps). These scripts:
- Run to support wallet functionality on compatible websites.
- Only share wallet interaction data when you explicitly authorize a connection or approve a signing request.
- Do not extract sensitive wallet secrets from your device for external storage by us.
5. Security
Your keys are intended to remain under your control. You are responsible for:
- Keeping your seed phrase secure and backed up in a safe location.
- Not sharing your private keys, seed phrase, or recovery materials with anyone.
- Using a secure device and browser environment when accessing the wallet.
6. Changes to This Policy
